The Russian government has raised the quota to export ferrous scrap and waste metal outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) by 100,000 tonnes to 650,000 tonnes until the end of 2024, the government said.
The Industry and Trade Ministry will distribute the additional quota volume among participants in foreign trade activities, according to the statement.
The duty is 5%, though not less than 15 euros per tonne, when exporting ferrous scrap and waste metal within the quota, and the duty is 5%, though not less than 290 euros per tonne, in excess of this.
