According to this decision, some companies will export ferrous scrap to countries that are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union within the quota determined by the government.
Russia continues its activities in regulating foreign trade transactions with ferrous metals.
Pursuant to Decision No. 2259 adopted on December 22, 2023, it was approved to export tariff quotas for ferrous scrap exports, according to which Russia will export iron and steel scrap to countries that are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union.
With this approved decision, it will be able to export scrap by fulfilling the export procedures until June 30 2024 for products for which a one-time license application has not been made.
In the Rules on the Distribution of Tariff Quota adopted by the above-mentioned decision, the distribution of a new quota among foreign trade participants was approved. With this decision, scrap export quotas were defined for products with GDIP codes (7204 10 000 0, 7204 30 000 0, 7204 41 100 0, 7204 41 910 0, 7204 41 990 0, 7204 49 100 0, 7204 49 300 0, 7204 49 900 0 and 7204 50 000 0).
