According to the statement made by PGNIG, the natural gas within the scope of the agreement will be sent through the "Baltic Pipe" natural gas pipeline, which will be opened on October 1.
The said agreement will be valid between 1 January 2023 and 1 January 2033. Norway's natural gas will be transmitted first to Denmark and then to Poland via the "Baltic Pipe". The occupancy rate of Poland's natural gas warehouses, which meets half of its annual demand of approximately 21 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Russia, was announced as 98 percent.
