Ukraine increased its flat product exports in June compared to the previous month, according to national customs data.
In January-June, Ukraine exported 422,500 tonnes, down 68% y-o-y. The value of flat product exports decreased by 72.4% to $308 million.
In the first six months of the year, Ukraine exported 312,300 tonnes of uncoated hot rolled coils for $219 million. In June alone, Ukraine shipped 89,100 tonnes, down 5.3% m-o-m and valued at $65.4 million, down 6.4%. Last month, the country shipped 89,600 tonnes of cold rolled coil, up 24% on the previous month.
The largest consumers of Ukraine's hot rolled coil in January-June were Poland with 33.4% share, Bulgaria with 14% share and Portugal with 10.4% share. Together, these three countries consumed about 60 per cent of the cold rolled coil. The main buyers of Ukrainian coated rolled products were Poland (65.4%) and Romania (27.4%).
Exports of long rolled metal in June were 61,060 tonnes, up 5.6% on month and 28.1% on year. Export revenue decreased by 1.5 per cent m-o-m and 29 per cent y-o-y to $40.5 million. In January-June, Ukraine exported 253,400 tonnes, down 40% y-o-y. Revenue decreased by 48.7% to $208.2 million.
The largest consumers of Ukrainian hot-rolled bars in January-June were Poland with 40% share and Germany with 21.2% share.
In June, Ukraine's crude steel output amounted to 463,000 tonnes, up 48.6% y-o-y.
