Petrol Ofisi announced that it has started the production of Texaco mineral oil products in Turkey within the scope of the agreement it signed with Chevron Brands International.

Petrol Ofisi started the production of Texaco lubricants

Petrol Ofisi started the first production of Texaco mineral oil products in Turkey. The Texaco product range, which will be produced at Petrol Ofisi's mineral oil factory in Derince, consists of synthetic passenger car engine oils, heavy vehicle engine oils, gas engine oils, hydraulic and gear oils.

The agreement between Petrol Ofisi and Chevron covering the production, sales and marketing activities of Texaco branded lubricants in Turkey was signed in September 2020.

Under the contract, the sales and marketing of Chevron's Texaco branded lubricants will be carried out by Petrol Ofisi. With the agreement, Texaco's world-famous Havoline and Delo branded products will also be produced and sold in Turkey.

"We undertook all activities including production"
Providing information on the subject, Petrol Ofisi CEO Selim Şiper said that the first Texaco production points to a long-term cooperation. Indicating that despite the epidemic conditions in 2020, they reached figures far above expectations in every field and business line they operate, Şiper said, “We continued to innovate and create value in these difficult times. The most important example was in the field of mineral oils. In this period, we completed all our negotiations with Chevron in less than a year, and as of September 2020, we undertook all activities including the production of Texaco products, which is Chevron's main brand in lubricants, in Turkey. Now, we are proud to complete the preparations and start the production of the first Texaco branded products within the scope of this cooperation. The agreement, which is the sign and first step of this beautiful cooperation, now symbolizes the beginning of development and contribution to be made. I wish this first production to be beneficial for Petrol Ofisi, Chevron and our country.” he said.

“Our vision is to gain an effective market share in Turkey”
Chevron Europe General Manager and Global Marine Lubricants General Manager Pat McCloud stated that Turkey is an important market for Chevron and said, “We are honored and excited to open a new page in our strategic relationship with Petrol Ofisi. With the cooperation of Chevron and Petrol Ofisi, we are determined to expand the Texaco brand in the Turkish lubricants market, both in the consumer and commercial and industrial terms. Our vision is to gain an effective market share in Turkey. As Chevron, we are confident that we will achieve our common goals based on trust, honesty and performance with a strong business partner like Petrol Ofisi.” used the phrases.

Petrol Ofisi Lubricants Director Sezgin Gürsu stated that Petrol Ofisi is Turkey's largest lubricant brand with its market share as well as its product range of more than 400, the largest distribution, sales network, production and storage capacity.

Stating that Chevron is among the world brands in its field, Gürsu said, “These two strong brands have a long-established and successful relationship that goes back to 70 years. In this long-standing cooperation, many successful projects have been implemented recently, as has been the case with marine oils. Today, we have taken this cooperation to the next level. As we enter a new era with Chevron with this comprehensive, long-term agreement and started production, we have further strengthened our deep-rooted cooperation and continue our strong growth journey in a stable and confident manner.” he said.
