Peru's iron ore production increased by 15.6% in seven months, reaching 8.4 million tons in the first seven months of 2023, compared to 1.22 million tons in July 2022.
The Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines reported a 6.7% increase from the previous month. Shougang Hierro Perú S.A.A. produced 98% of the total iron ore volumes in January-July 2023, with the rest coming from Minera Shouxin Perú S.A.A.
