Outokumpu, Finland-based Europe's leading stainless steel producer, is Europe's largest stainless steel producer and America's second-largest producer, with employees in more than 30 countries.
It became the first stainless steel manufacturer to provide specific carbon footprint data for its stainless steel products, aiming to help its customers further reduce their climate emissions. Outokumpu's carbon footprint is 70% lower than the global industry average.
This method will have a positive impact on the sustainability studies that the company has been working on for a long time, as well as the company's long-term climate goals and sustainability strategy.
