Novostal will build a new plant in Rostov

A plant for the production of rolled metal, specializing in hot-rolled sheets, will be built in the city of Shakhty, located in the Rostov region. The total annual production capacity will be about 1 million tons of products. The Novostal company acts as an investor and plans to invest about 40 billion rubles in the project. 

At the international industrial exhibition Innoprom, held in the city of Yekaterinburg, an agreement was signed between the government of the Rostov region and the Novostal company on the creation of a new production.

An agreement was signed on the implementation of a project for the construction of a plant for the production of hot-rolled sheet in the city of Shakhty. The total investment in the new production will be about 40 billion rubles. The production volume of hot-rolled sheet will be about 1 million tons per year.

The Novostal company plans to place a production complex on an area of ​​480,000 square meters. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to build an electric steel-smelting shop and a shop for the production of high-quality hot-rolled sheet. It is expected that the creation of a new enterprise will create more than 1.5 thousand jobs.
