In a statement made on November 22 by the Russian energy company Gazprom, it was reported that natural gas shipments to Moldova could be cut off within 48 hours on the grounds that it did not pay.
Gazprom's Representative, Sergey Kupriyanov, made assessments on the gas dispute between Gazprom and Moldova, in a statement to reporters in Moscow.
NATURAL GAS SHIPMENT TO MOLDOVA WILL NOT STOP
Kupriyanov announced that they decided not to stop natural gas shipments to Moldova, which did not pay under the contract.
Stating that Moldova applied to Gazprom and demanded that natural gas shipments not be cut, Kupriyanov said, "We have decided to extend the time given for Moldova to pay its debt. Moldova has committed to pay its debt on November 26." he said.
