Mexico has decided to impose provisional countervailing duties (CVD) on imports of cold-rolled steel originating from Vietnam, with the measure set to come into effect on September 14, 2023. The CVD rate for Hoa Phat is 12.77%, while Posco Vietnam has 25.64%.
The products involved are classified under various tariff items of the TIGIE, and may also fall under other tariff items. The investigation lasted from October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021, and the damage analysis period was from October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2021. The administrative investigation was initiated following a complaint filed by Ternium México on February 18, 2022.
