WE WILL ATTACH IMPORTANCE TO REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Cemil Tugay, Mayor of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, gave an example from EİB Coordinator President Jak Eskinazi's speech and said that there is a great need for processed products. Explaining that the added value of processed products is higher, Tugay said, "We know that branding and marketing are important. In this period, we will attach importance to regional development. We will cooperate with all institutions for this. Izmir is historically a city of trade and fairs. We will work to improve this aspect of Izmir. I hope we will meet in the 30th edition of this fair with more advanced fairs and larger organizations with an additional 20 thousand square meters."
WE BROUGHT IMPORTERS FROM 15 COUNTRIES
Speaking at the opening of the fair, which brought together the natural stone sector in Izmir, Tayfun Kılıç, Deputy Director General for Exports at the Ministry of Trade, said that they attach importance to design and branding in order for the increase in exports to be permanent. Kılıç continued as follows:
"We firmly believe that Türkiye will become the first country that comes to mind when it comes to marble and natural stone. Today, we have brought importer companies from 15 different countries to Izmir with the support of our ministry and the organization of 3 exporter associations. Our companies will have the opportunity to establish business relations with companies and market their products for the next 3 days. We are working for our exporters to cope with the problems while achieving these successes. We are establishing new support mechanisms for easier adaptation to the changing structure of global trade. We have increased the number of international fair participation from 5 to 10 in order to support fair participation."
