The Blue Line, which will contribute to Dubai's rapidly developing transport infrastructure, aims to provide the city with a more integrated metro network by connecting the existing red and green lines. The project will be 30 kilometres long in total and will consist of 14 stations, 7 of which will be elevated.
The construction of the line, approximately half of which will pass underground and 1.5 kilometres above sea level, is scheduled to be completed in September 2029. The project is expected to employ approximately 15 thousand people during the peak construction period.
Mapa and Limak, the Turkish companies in the consortium, will bring their experience in engineering and construction in international projects to this important project. CRRC will provide systems, wagons and technical equipment from Hong Kong.
