The Libyan Iron and Steel Company (LISCO) has recently announced a groundbreaking achievement in the production of Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) and Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI). In October, the company produced an astounding 102,223 tons of DRI pellets from the first and second units of the General Administration of Direct Reduction factories, marking a remarkable 123.78% increase and a production level not seen in over a decade. Furthermore, LISCO set a new record by producing 70,223 tons of HBI from the third unit, surpassing previous records.
This remarkable accomplishment outshines their September figures, where they produced 86,551 tons of DRI pellets and 60,083 tons of HBI. LISCO's remarkable production records highlight their commitment to growth, innovation, and excellence in the metallurgical industry, which is poised to have a positive impact on both the domestic and international steel markets.
