It has been noted that workers at Liberty Czestochowa's plate facility returned to duty some time ago, with those in the electric arc furnace steelworks section scheduled to commence work in the coming days. Sources indicate that adverse weather conditions in Poland and prolonged interruptions have affected the equipment, requiring efforts to ensure that necessary tests and conditions are met for production to resume. It was mentioned that testing for the plate facility is set to recommence within this week.
Liberty Czestochowa emphasized its commitment to the health and safety of its workers, assuring that safe working methods and protective measures will be reviewed once again.
It was mentioned that Liberty Czestochowa has an annual capacity of 700,000 tons for Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) and 1.2 million tons for heavy plate production. A meeting was held with the Czestochowa City Council to contribute to resolving issues at the factory. Sources reported that the purpose of the meeting is to devise solutions to safeguard the Polish steel industry against the adverse effects of the EU's climate and energy policies.
Sources speaking to SteelRadar expressed that Liberty Czestochowa plans to resume production after its preparations, while seeking support from the Czestochowa City Council.
