In a significant move towards enhancing regional connectivity, Kuwait has taken strides in the development of the Gulf Track railway project. The General Authority for Roads and Land Transport is currently evaluating bids for the tender concerning the study, design, and documentation preparation for the initial phase of the ambitious project.
The project focuses on the first phase of the "Gulf Track" railway, spanning a length of 111 km. Sources reveal that Kuwait serves as the northern station for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, constituting approximately 5% of the entire network and establishing a direct connection with Saudi Arabia.
