Indian steel producer JSW Steel Limited increased its consolidated crude steel production by 12% to 2,407,000 tons in February 2025 compared to the same month last year. The company had produced 2,150,000 tons in February 2024.
The company's operations in India produced 2,332,000 tons, up 13% from the same period last year. The capacity utilization rate was 93.5%. However, JSW Steel USA - Ohio produced 75,000 tons compared to 91,000 tons in February 2024.
JSW Steel reported a 71% y-o-y decline in net profit for the quarter ended December 2024. Net profit was reported at ₹719 Crore (EUR 75,805,536), well below the previous profit level of ₹2,450 Crore (EUR 258,335,350) for the same period.
The company's operating income for the reporting quarter declined by 1% y-o-y to ₹41,378 Crore (EUR 4,363,020,454). In the same period last year, the figure was ₹41,940 crore (EUR 4,422,279,420).
Furthermore, JSW Steel reported an operating EBITDA of ₹5,579 Crore (EUR 588,266,497) for the quarter ended December 2024. EBITDA margins were 13.5%, representing a sequential growth of 3%.
