According to data released by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan's cold-rolled sheet and strip shipments in July were approximately 429,000 tons. The 429,000 tons represents a 23% increase from June and a 5% increase from the same period of 2023.
About 48% of the shipments were for the domestic market, while the rest were sent to overseas markets. In July, Japan's cold rolled sheet and strip production was measured at around 409,000 tons. This represents an increase of 13% compared to the previous month, but a decrease of 1% compared to the same period last year.
