In the first 11 months of this year, Japan's ferrous scrap exports amounted to 5.9 million tons, falling nearly 14 percent year on year.
Among them, exports to South Korea accounted for the largest share at around 2.9 million mt, rising 3.3 percent year on year. Vietnam ranked second with 1.25 million tons, followed by Taiwan with 554,800 tons, falling 41 percent year on year.
In November alone, Japan exported approximately 502,000 tons of ferrous scrap, rising 4.6% year-on-year.
