According to data released by the World Steel Association (Worldsteel), Japan's crude steel production in September fell by 5.8% compared to the same month last year, falling to 6.6 million tons. This figure also represents a decrease of approximately 4.35% compared to August.
Japan's crude steel production from January to September 2024 totaled 63.3 million tons, marking a 3.2% decline compared to the same period last year.
Japan maintained its 3rd place in the world rankings with its crude steel production. However, the country's crude steel production has been decreasing on a monthly basis for the last two months.
