Colombia's iron ore production, which amounted to 412,000 tons in 2022, iron ore production decreased by 35% y-o-y and decreased both y-o-y and q-o-q.
In the fourth quarter of 2022, it decreased by 55% compared to the previous quarter and by about 78% compared to the same quarter of the previous year to about 35,100 tons.
Production in the Boyacá department amounted to about 34,900 tons, while the production in the Cauca department amounted to about 100 tons.
