According to the Statistical Center of Iran, reveal remarkable growth in the country's steel exports from April to August of this year, underscoring Iran's increasing prominence in the global steel market.
Total steel exports, encompassing semi-finished products, reached an impressive 4,479,000 tons, marking a significant 25% surge compared to the same period last year. This boost in exports highlights Iran's growing in the steel industry. Pellet exports witnessed a staggering 197% increase, totaling approximately 3.7 million tons, while concentrate exports skyrocketed 711%, surpassing 2.8 million tons. These substantial increases in exports signify Iran's rising in the steel raw materials market.
Semi finished products exports, amounting to 3,093,000 tons in the April to August of this year, registered a substantial 29% growth compared to the corresponding period last year. This performance underscores Iran's competitiveness in the semi-finished products segment.
Furthermore, the country's steel products exports reached 1,402,386,000 tons during the same period, 16% increase compared to the previous year. Among these steel products, long steel sections constituted 1,190,000 tons, reflecting a 14% rise in exports. Rebar, increased by 12%, reaching 854,000 tons. However, the export of wire rod saw a 13% decrease, amounting to 133,000 tons.
The export of flat steel sections witnessed an impressive 31% surge, reaching 196,000 tons, further enhancing Iran's position in the global steel market.
Notably, sponge iron exports from April to August of this year, reached 709,000 tons, representing a remarkable growth rate of 225%.
Iron ore concentrate exports also displayed 711% growth, reaching 2,845,000 tons
Pellet exports continued their upward , with a 197% increase, reaching 3,662,000 tons.
