In February 2022, the containers, which were first delivered via Antwerp, were subjected to sanctions imposed by the EU following the war between Russia and Ukraine. JSL said in a statement that stainless steel is not on the EU sanctions list and must be cleared through customs as soon as possible for the shipment to continue.
JSL added that due to the increased exports to Russia and expanding markets in South America and the Middle East in connection with this situation, its exports will reach the highest level in the last five years in the coming financial year.
