India's finished steel imports from China increased

India imported 2.9 million tonnes of finished steel during this period, representing an increase of 13.4% compared to the same period of the previous year. After China, South Korea was the second largest exporter of steel to India, sending 0.9 million tonnes.

However, despite these imports, India remained a net exporter, exporting 3.2 million tonnes of finished steel from April to September. Major buyers of India's steel exports include Italy, Spain, Belgium, Nepal and the United Arab Emirates.
