Indian pipe manufacturer invests $35 Million in Louisiana for first US facility

An Indian pipe and tube manufacturing company, Global Seamless Tubes & Pipes, has chosen Louisiana as the location for its inaugural production facility in the United States. The firm has declared an investment of $35 million in northwest Louisiana, with plans to generate hundreds of employment opportunities in the region.

Hailing from Howrah, India, Global Seamless Tubes & Pipes specializes in exporting its products to industry clients across more than 10 countries worldwide.

The forthcoming Louisiana facility is set to feature state-of-the-art machinery capable of executing both hot-finishing and cold-drawn manufacturing processes. This strategic setup will enable the company to cater to the rising demand and establish a robust domestic supply chain, particularly for North American clients operating within the engineering, oil and gas, and power generation sectors, as per a press release.

It is anticipated that the establishment will create 135 direct job opportunities in DeSoto Parish. Louisiana Economic Development (LED) estimates that the project will additionally generate 251 indirect jobs, thereby presenting a total potential of 386 new employment opportunities in the Northwest Region.

Global Seamless Tubes & Pipes' investment in Louisiana underscores its commitment to producing carbon, alloy, and stainless-steel products specifically tailored to meet the needs of North American customers.
