In the 11 provinces affected by the earthquakes, the houses will be built with low floors and horizontal architecture

In the first stage, 199,739 permanent residences and 73,972 village houses will be built in the 11 provinces affected by the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, with the help of the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ). The first excavation will be done for 855 of these residences, while the contracting process for 14 thousand 597 residences will be completed by the end of February.

In 11 provinces, 199 thousand 739 permanent houses and 73 thousand 972 village houses will be built in the first stage. The residences, which will not exceed the floor plus 3-4 floors, are planned as gross 105 square meters, net 85 square meters and 3 plus 1.

With the help of TOKİ and General Directorate of Emlak Konut, a process has been initiated for permanent residences as well as temporary shelters for earthquake victims affected by earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş. In this context, in the new areas determined by TOKİ, in the first place, 45 thousand 67 in Kahramanmaraş, 44 thousand 770 in Malatya, 40 thousand 426 in Hatay, 25 thousand 882 in Adıyaman, 18 thousand 544 in Gaziantep, 9 thousand in Osmaniye. 199,739 residences will be built, including 550, 6 thousand in Diyarbakır, 3,750 in Elazığ, 3 thousand in Şanlıurfa, 2,200 in Adana and 250 in Kilis.

The residences will be built in reserve areas close to the center, determined according to the sociology, cultural structure, demographic structure of the city and the needs of the citizen.

The residences, which will not exceed the floor plus 3-4 floors, are planned as 105 square meters gross, 85 square meters net, 3 plus 1, excluding balconies.

For the earthquake victims who live in villages, whose houses have been destroyed or are in an emergency situation to be destroyed, 3 plus 1 village houses will be built with a net 93 square meters suitable for local architecture, with a veranda.

Within this scope, 17 thousand 990 village houses will be built in Malatya, 15 thousand 59 in Hatay, 13 thousand 16 in Kahramanmaraş, 9 thousand 896 in Adiyaman, 9 thousand 536 in Gaziantep, 2 thousand 927 in Diyarbakır, 2 thousand 81 in Şanlıurfa, 1002 in Kilis, 701 in Adana, 386 in Elazığ and 73 thousand 972 in Malatya.

The Ministry is planning to start the construction of 270 thousand houses in the city center and villages in March and April, and then increase this number in stages.

Contracts are signed for 14 thousand 597 residences

The Ministry of Environment, Urbanism and Climate Change has pressed the button with the goal of placing citizens in permanent housing within a year of the earthquake. While the first digging was carried out for 855 houses in Nurdağı and Islahiye districts of Gaziantep in the places where the ground survey studies were completed, the contract process for 14 thousand 597 houses started in different regions. The signing process for these residences will be completed by February 28.
Accordingly, the distribution of the houses that have started the contract process according to the districts is as follows:

"1490 in Kahramanmaraş Dulkadiroğlu, 1452 in Elbistan, 1097 in Pazarcık, 501 in Afşin, 1073 in Malatya Batalgazi, 349 in Doğanşehir, 580 in Adıyaman Örenli, 492 in Hatay İskenderun, 364 in Altınözü, 376 in Hassa, 821 in Payas, 399 in Gaziantep İslahiye, 456 in Nurdağı, 921 in Nizip, 534 in Şanlıurfa Birecik, 363 in Eyyübiye, 595 in Diyarbakır Kayapınar, 590 in Sarıçam in Adana, Toprakkale in Osmaniye, 152 houses in Adıyaman and 250 village houses in Adıyaman."
