Italy-based equipment supplier Danieli announced that Hoa Phat Group, a leading Vietnamese steel producer, has commissioned the second phase of an expansion project at its Quality Strip Production (QSP) plant supplied by Danieli.
The expansion project will help the plant increase its annual production capacity of low and medium carbon, LC HSLA- and MC HSLA- grade steels from the previous 3.5 million tonnes to 3.9 million tonnes.
In addition, more new equipment was installed at this plant, which also produces high-strength steel.
The plant was shut down for only 27 days and resumed production ahead of schedule.
