Harsco Environmental and Izmir Iron and Steel form new partnership

Harsco Environmental, a division of Enviri Corporation, announced that they have signed a contract with İzmir Demir Çelik Sanayi A.Ş. (İDÇ).

Harsco Environmental and Izmir Iron and Steel form new partnership

Harsco Environmental, a global leader in providing environmental services to the steel and metals industries in the US, processes by-products such as slag from iron and steel production processes, recovering valuable metals and turning these materials into additional products for use in different sectors such as construction, cement and agriculture.

As part of this agreement, their second contract in Izmir, Harsco Environmental will provide furnace bottom digging services for two electric arc furnaces at IDÇ. This collaboration coincides with the commissioning of IDÇ's second electric arc furnace and strengthens the cooperation between the two companies.

Stéphane Boissinot, Harsco Environmental's Regional President for Europe, said: “We are excited to start a new partnership with İDÇ and support their operations with our innovative solutions. This contract emphasizes our commitment to deliver exceptional service and value to our steel industry customers.”

"We look forward to the positive impact this partnership will bring to our production capacity. Harsco Environmental's expertise and focus on innovative solutions align perfectly with our operational goals as we commission our second electric arc furnace.” Hasan Acar, İDÇ Plant Manager, concluded.
