The Ukrainian steel plant Zaporizhstal, owned by Metinvest, has announced production results for July and the first seven months of 2023.
In July, Zaporizhstal produced 262,000 tons of pig iron, 240,700 tons of crude steel and 196,100 tons of finished steel, up 88.3%, 168.9% and 145.4% respectively year on year.
From January to July, pig iron production at Zaporizhstal amounted to 1.4 million tons, an increase of 10.6%, while the company produced 1.26 million tons of crude steel and 1.04 million tons of finished products, up 24.5% and 14.4% more, respectively, year on year.
