Zamil Steel, a Saudi Arabia-based iron and steel company, is celebrating its 25th anniversary in Egypt.
Throughout its operations in Egypt, the company has completed 7,400 projects and made significant contributions to the industrial, commercial and educational sectors. Established in 1976 in Saudi Arabia, Zamil Steel has produced 1.2 million tonnes of steel structures in Egypt over the past 25 years, of which around 450,000 tonnes have been exported to more than 60 African and Arab countries.
The celebration event will be held under the patronage of Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Transport. During the event, Zamil Steel will give a detailed presentation on its achievements since its establishment in Saudi Arabia in 1976 and the establishment of factories outside the Kingdom. It will also highlight the company's investments in Egypt, its engineering solutions for the industrial, commercial and service sectors, and its contribution to global exports.
Zamil Steel has consolidated its leadership in the sector with its innovative approach to engineering, design and operational solutions. The steel structures produced by the factories in Egypt range from infrastructure to service projects. In addition, Zamil Steel has expanded its international reach with factories in Vietnam, Egypt and India to increase its global production capacity.
The company has placed great emphasis on the development of local talent in Egypt, collaborating with universities and engineering offices. These collaborations aim to better equip young professionals in the industry and contribute to the labour markets in Egypt and beyond.
