Yesilyurt Demir Celik will establish a 95 MWe solar power plant named 'Yesilyurt Hilvan Solar Power Plant (SPP)' in the Hilvan district of Sanliurfa to reduce its carbon footprint in line with its climate goals.
After setting up an 80 MW solar power plant in Viransehir, the company plans to install another solar power plant in Hilvan.
The company plans to establish and operate a 95 MWe solar power plant named 'Yesilyurt Hilvan Solar Power Plant (SPP)' in an area of 116.54 hectares within the boundaries of the Hilvan district in Sanliurfa. The project is expected to require an investment of approximately 996 million TL.
At the power plant, the direct current electricity produced by Monocrystalline Single Axis Sun Tracking Photovoltaic Systems will be converted to alternating current electricity using inverters. The project will involve the installation of 199,184 panels, each with a power output of 545 watts, and 950 inverters.
The power plant is expected to generate 160,740,000 kWh of electricity per year, which will be used to offset the company's electricity consumption.
