According to the data provided by the National Bureau of Statistics of China, in July 2023, China's average daily pig iron production was 2.5032 million tons, down 2.4 percent month on month; Average daily crude steel production Crude steel production was recorded as 2,929 million tons, down 3.6 percent month on month.

In July 2023, China's pig iron production increased by 10.2 percent year on year and reached 77.6 million tons. Annual crude steel production is 90.8 million tons, up 11.5 percent; Annual steel production increased by 14.5 percent to 116.53 million tons.

Looking at the January-July 2023 period, China's pig iron production increased by 3.5% year on year to 528.92 million tons; crude steel production is 626.51 million tons, up 2.5 percent year on year; steel production was 789 million tons, up 5.4 percent year on year.
