Austrian steel producer Voestalpine has secured agreements with two global truck manufacturers in the North American market, driven by strong demand from global truck manufacturers.
The company has committed to supplying special tubes and profiles as part of long-term agreements.As a result of these agreements, the company has decided to expand its existing production facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana, USA.
The company plans to invest USD 78 million to increase production capacity at this location. This expansion will add approximately 15,000 square feet to the existing facility, designed to support the production of high-quality structural components for Class 6, 7, and 8 trucks.
With this investment, the facility's production capacity will be increased to 80,000 tons. The project is expected to be operational in 2026. This initiative is expected to create 110 new jobs.
