The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) of Vietnam has announced updates to the anti-dumping measures applied to H-shaped steel products originating from China. Following a comprehensive second review, an anti-dumping duty rate of 13.38% has been imposed on Hebei Jinxi Section Steel Co., Ltd. and its related entities.
The affected companies include Hebei Jinxi International Trading Co., Ltd., Hebei Jinxi Iron and Steel Group, Tianjin New Asia Prosperity Proprietary Limited, and China Oriental Singapore Pte. Ltd. These adjustments aim to address concerns about unfair pricing practices and safeguard Vietnam's domestic steel industry.
The second review, initiated on December 8, 2023, assessed products under the HS codes 7216.33.11, 7216.33.19, 7216.33.90, 7228.70.10, and 7228.70.90. It was part of Vietnam’s ongoing effort to regulate imports and ensure a level playing field for local manufacturers. The findings led to a recalibration of the anti-dumping duties initially determined in the final review issued on August 19, 2022.
The updated anti-dumping measures are effective immediately and will remain in force until September 5, 2027, unless modified or extended by subsequent decisions from MOIT based on future reviews. In addition to the updated rates, MOIT reaffirmed that procedures related to inspection, documentation, and enforcement of anti-dumping measures will continue in accordance with existing regulations.
