Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) announced that on November 12, 2024, anti-dumping (AD) duties on cold-rolled stainless steel products imported from Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and China will be removed. In line with Decision No. 3011/QD-BCT, the ministry stated that the AD measures on these products no longer have a protective requirement for the domestic industry.
Following a review of measures to protect the steel sector, the ministry determined that imports from these countries do not pose a risk of dumping or harm to local producers.
The HS codes of the products in question are as follows:
7219.32.00, 7219.33.00, 7219.34.00, 7219.35.00, 7219.90.00, 7220.20.10, 7220.20.90, 7220.90.10 and 7220.90.90.
This development is expected to reduce costs for Vietnamese steel importers and manufacturers and provide greater flexibility in the supply chain. By removing anti-dumping duties, MOIT aims to create a more competitive production environment in the country and to establish stronger partnerships with trading partners in Asia.
