When compared to the first quarter of the fiscal year 2022, Vedanta's Jharsuguda and BALCO smelters witnessed a 4% rise in cast metal aluminum production in the second quarter. This increase was attributed to the expansion of pots, and the production figures included the output from trial runs.
In terms of Vedanta's Lanjigarh refinery, the facility produced 511,000 tons of alumina during the reporting period. This output marked a 6% increase from the previous quarter and an 11% increase from the same period in the preceding year.
