Uzbek company Asia Metal Prof LLP plans to build a plant worth $106.9 million in Kazakhstan's Taraz industrial zone. The new plant will be engaged in the remelting of ferrous metal, the production of square billets and thin galvanised steel sheets, as well as the production of coil steel with polymer coating.
"Taraz" industrial zone is located in the Zhambyl region, on the territory of the cities of Karatau and Taraz. It covers an area of 185.3 hectares, of which 144 hectares are currently empty.
Negotiations between investors and regional authorities have already started. Representatives of the authorities discussed with the Mayor the conditions for project implementation, including the availability of energy resources, engineering and transport infrastructure.
The Mayor of Zhambyl assured that the municipality will provide comprehensive support to the project and reminded that the construction of the plant must comply with environmental standards.
Land for construction has been allocated and secured in the relevant documents. Work is currently underway to prepare estimates and design documentation.
The Uzbek plant Asia Metal Prof LLP, located in Samarkand, produces galvanised and polymerised metal sheets, pipes and construction profiles.
