Week-over-week, production also saw a decrease. For the week ending September 28, production was higher at 1,646,000 net tons, with a capability utilization rate of 74.1%, indicating a 2.4% drop in production for the week ending October 5.
Year-to-date production through October 5, totaled 67,818,000 net tons, with a capability utilization rate of 76,6%. This marks a 1,7% decrease compared to the same period in 2023, when total production was 69,009,000 net tons and the capability utilization rate stood at 76,9%.
