According to statistics, in the week ended January 28, US crude steel production increased by 0.9% compared to the same period a week ago, while decreasing by 5.8% compared to the same period a year ago, totaling 1,635 million short tons. The capacity utilization rate was 73.1% with a weekly increase of 0.6% and an annual decrease of 6.7%.
As of the week ended January 28, US adjusted crude steel production from the beginning of the year to today reached 6.452 million short tons, down 7% y-o-y. The capacity utilization rate decreased by 7.7% compared to the previous year and became 72.1%.
