The U.S. Department of Commerce conducted a preliminary census. According to preliminary census data from the US Department of Commerce, the US imported around 1.8 million tons of steel in November last year, falling by 17% compared to the previous month and decreasing by 30.7% year on year.
At the same time, the US' steel import value reached around US$2.8 billion, falling by 15.2% month on month and decreasing by 23.8% year on year.
Canada , one of the most prominent countries in this regard, was the leading steel source to the US, with around 477,000 tons.
