US steel mill shipments rise in June

In June, US steel mills shipped 7.7 million net tons, slightly up by 0.6% y-o-y but decreasing 0.9% m-o-m.

In the first six months of this year, shipments amounted to 44.32 million net tons, decreasing by 3.6% from the previous year. Hot-rolled thin plate shipments increased by 3%, while cold-rolled thin plate and corrosion-resistant flat products decreased by 1% and 3%, respectively.
