US steel exports increased on a monthly basis

US steel exports rose on a monthly basis in May this year, according to data from the US Department of Commerce.

US steel exports increased on a monthly basis

In May 2023, US steel exports increased by 18.9% compared to April to 829,184 tons.

Steel exports to Canada were 374,427 tons, to Mexico 304,305 tons, to Brazil 4,555 tons, to the Bahamas 2,586 tons, to India 2,431 tons, to China 2,383 tons and to Australia 2,149 tons.

The value of exports made in this period was 1.49 billion dollars.
