According to the US Department of Commerce, in December 2023, on a m-o-m basis, US steel exports fell 15.3% to 557,633 tons.
On a y-o-y basis, the growth is 3.8%. In terms of value, US steel exports totaled $1.02 billion in December 2023, down from $1.18 billion in November.
The top destinations for US steel exports in December were Mexico (278,103 tons), Canada (238,272 tons), Australia (6,528 tons), China (3,852 tons), Pakistan (2,240 tons), India (1,866 tons), Great Britain (1,834 tons)
