The US Department of Commerce published preliminary data showing that U.S. steel coil imports decreased to 76,700 tons in September, a 14% decline from the same month the previous year.
This figure decreased by 3% compared to the previous month, August.
Canada was the country that exported the most steel coins to the USA, with approximately 49,000 tons, a 3,4% increase monthly and a 3,5% decrease annually. South Korea followed Canada with a supply of approximately 13,000 tons.
The total import value of these products in September was approximately 64 million dollars. Total import value decreased by 0,5% compared to the previous month and by 21% compared to the same month last year.
