US scrap exports and imports fall in June

In June, the US exported 1.2 million tons of scrap, a 35.3% decrease from the previous month and 4% from the previous year.

Exports to Mexico fell by 77% to 176,000 tons, while those to Turkey increased by over double to 487,800 tons. Imports decreased by 15% to 270,000 tons, with Canada being the largest supplier at 77% and Mexico at 13%.
