US prepares to impose duties on Ukrainian oil pipes

The authorities gave the reason for the possible imposition of duties as the fact that Ukraine supplied pipes to the USA at a price considered "below normal". This was revealed during an investigation by the US Department of Commerce. It is noted that this fact may lead to the imposition of anti-dumping duties. According to the official notice published in the US Federal Register, this preliminary ruling is part of an investigation covering the period from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.

The final decision on the imposition of such duties will be made following an investigation initiated in September 2023. The investigation began after an appeal from American manufacturers, including Borusan Pipe USA and Welded Tube USA. The decision process will take about four months.
