The U.S. Department of Commerce has increased countervailing duties on carbon and alloy steel wire rod imported from Türkiye.
The move comes amid an investigation by the Department and the International Trade Commission, which suggests the removal of duties could lead to illegal subsidization of wire rod exports, potentially affecting U.S. wire rod producers.
The duty rate for Habas and Icdas is 6.09% and 3.81%, respectively, 4.95% for all other Turkish wire rod suppliers.
