US crude steel production rises

In the week ended August 19, US crude steel production increased by 1.1% on a weekly basis and 2.2% on an annual basis to 1.76 million net tons.

In this period, capacity utilization rate increased by 0.8% on a weekly basis and decreased by 0.8% yoy to 77.2%.

Adjusted U.S. crude steel production was 56.36 million net tons, down by 2% y-o-y, and a capacity utilization rate of 75.9%.
