US crude steel production slightly increased in the week ending July 15, reaching 1.716 million short tons, slightly up by 0.3% from the previous week but slightly falling by 0.3% compared to the previous year.
The capacity utilization rate was 75.5%, up by 0.3% week-on-week and down by 2.6% y-o-y.
As of July 15, adjusted year-to-date production was 47.62 million short tons, a 2.7% drop from the previous year, and a 4.2% reduction in capacity utilization rate.
