In the week ended July 29, US crude steel production increased by 0.5% on a weekly basis and 1.6% on an annual basis to 1,749 million short tons.
In this period, capacity utilization rate increased by 0.3% on a weekly basis and decreased by 1.2% on an annual basis to 76.9%.
US crude steel production fell by 2.4% yoy to around 51.1 million short tons as of the week in this period, while the capacity utilization rate fell by 4.2% yoy to 75.8%.
