According to the data from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), US crude steel production increased by 0.2% on a weekly basis; while it increased by 0.3% to 1.74 million net tons on an annual basis.
During this period, the capacity utilization rate was 77.5%, with a weekly increase of 0.2% and a decrease of 2.1% annually.
Year-to-date crude steel production of the USA was approximately 40.73 million net tons, down 3% year-on-year, while the capacity utilization rate decreased by 4.6% year-on-year to 75.7%.
